Thursday, July 25, 2024, 7:30pm
Burlington Arcade, London
Join Gagosian for a conversation between Oscar Murillo and Alessandro Rabottini, writer, curator, and director of Fondazione In Between Art Film, to celebrate the opening of the artist’s commission The flooded garden at Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall in London, and the launch of his new book, Frequencies, edited by Rabottini and published by Hatje Cantz. The pair will discuss Murillo’s ongoing Frequencies project, his monumental transformation of Turbine Hall into a painting garden, and the role of public participation within his practice.
Following the talk, visitors are invited for a private view of THEM, Murillo’s takeover of the Gagosian Shop and the upstairs gallery, which brings together various bodies of work united by the act of drawing and ideas of community, movement, and universality.
